Zach Lavine with a nifty move to hit a three over Victor Wembyana with a smile.. As the Bulls close the lead to 74-56 in the third quarter. Talk about writing into the void. Monday night, it’s snowing out in Chicago, the Fiance is in Catholic class and I’m watching the 16-19 Chicago Bulls play Wembyana and the Spurs.
This team is so unbelievably frustrating. Trying to be optimistic. Trying so hard!! 9 turnovers before the end of the half with 2 free throws. This team is a joke. Ridiculously sloppy basketball at times you wonder how could an NBA player make such an arrant pass cross court and into the stands or off the FUCKING backboard. Josh Giddey is a stat merchant. That jumpshot is more broken than my Fiance’s car’s air conditioning. Speaking of air conditioning, Vucevic was playing so scared vs Wemby to start this game starting 1-9 and allowing several blocks for Wemby. He must not have gotten his acupuncture done pregame or whatever he gets done to give him those Octopus hickeys. I know he gets his tires pumped constantly, but having watched a limited amount of Spurs games this year (and last) Victor Wembyana, if healthy, has a real shot at being a top 10 player all time. I had to hold myself back from saying he could be the best, but seriously, we’ve never seen anything like it. Offenses completely break down versus him. It’s unfair how freakishly good he is on both sides of the court. I’m not expecting the Bulls to draft the next Wemby, but it goes to show how important having a true star is in this league and the Bulls do not seem to understand that. Our best player, Zach LaDribbleOffMyLegs Lavine, will be gone soon and you can only pray that we blow this thing to pieces and start losing. Because that’s the NBA these days. Can’t win? Lose and lose as hard as you possibly can.
Unfortunately, that won’t happen. The Reinsdorf family needs something to hang their hat on with how bad their other franchise is and hovering around (usually just below) .500 is their favorite path. Which is surprising because the only two times the Bulls have been relevant in the past 40 years is when they have a top 3 pick in the draft. Fire the coach. Please. If not for his consistently .500 record and lack of success (top seed or playoff wins) at the NBA level he has to be running the Reinsdorf’s dry on bubble gum.
Bulls lose… oh wait… I was all done with this. Let it all out. Coby White hits a layup against Wemby to go up 1 with 30 seconds left holy shit. This is bananas; what a run. The scrappy Billy Donovan-led Bulls! OH MY GOD. Coby White with a fucking dagger of a dunk on Wemby! He never dunks!!! Spurs with an all time choke. BULLS WIN 114-110.
P.S. Chris Paul is so underrated at this point. What a career.
